Continuing to go through Lana’s discography, I think Lust For Life might be my favorite album since Born to Die
I know neither are considered near her best and I do like Ultraviolence and Honeymoon a lot, but there’s just more ear candy in these albums. Idk what that says about me but I love when Lana goes BIG.

BTD is actually very much a large portion of the fans' favorite album of hers. they're always hoping for a return to the more grandiose and cinematic production of BTD, Paradise, Ultraviolence, Honeymoon instead of the folky, subtle stuff she does now. But yeah LFL is usually near the bottom of rankings.

I was actually listening to lust for life again last night and I agree. BTD, NFR, and LFL are probably my top 3.

LFL was the last record that actually sounded like a typical Lana album, everything after is stripped back

BTD gets a bad online rep from those who were on that NFR bandwagon and weren't there during like peak tumblr-era days lol
Wouldn't say it's that negatively received outside of those folks

Being a lana fan during btd era was hell, but ya i dont understand why people say its not a good album. Its still great, just very different from the sound lana puts out now.

Exactly I hope she embraces a live band soon.. horns, sax, standup bass, more vocalists

wish granted. she actually mentions in her latest interview (around 3:45) that she finally agreed to play Glastonbury because she has a "big band." we'll see what it consists of but her 3 backing vocalists will definitely be there.
