i think i know exactly why

a common trait amongst adhd + other neurodivergent ppl is the way we don't "get" putting up facades. for adhd, at least, it's because we don't pay attention / give energy to stuff that doesn't interest us. and to us, little social facades seem pointless and boring, not interesting. I'm sure it's a similar situation w other types of neurodivergence.

think abt how ig and twitter are built largely off these facades. its like a digital version of the same old shxt that's been boring neurodivergent ppl since forever ago lol.

on anonymous/pseudonymous forums like reddit (ew), 4chan (ew), or ktt (👍) ppl drop the facade and just express themselves straightforward. much more appealing to someone who finds all the play-acting of life boring / uncomfortable.
