VZ aside, lemme give my honest take on Ye vz Dre.

I think Ye has him beat artistically meaning like if you look purely at their catalogs of beats, I give it to Ye.

However, I give Dre the nod for cultural impact. Ye has a lot of impact too, in fact Ye's sound is probably more copied than Dre's, but Dre really shaped the genre for 3 different eras (NWA 80s, Death Row 90s, Aftermath late 90s/2000s). What Dre did almost couldn't be copied because he was so good at cultivating talent and putting his high quality beats behind them to make it a phenomenon
