I hope it doesn't come across as contrarian but I'd even go as far as to put the melvins over nirvana
oh if we are counting melvins as grunge which i usually wouldnt then absolutely. amazing discography
a few of those songs on Bleach are literally just Melvins songs anyway basically
Black Flag vs. Dead Kennedys
I’m not saying this as a knock at all either but Aaliyah also has this tragic mysticism behind her work for younger audiences due to her passing, and it helped make her a much larger figure in pop culture for the years to come; despite brandy being the much bigger hit makes
Love both
Yeah I agree.. I grew up on her though so I know how well received she was when she was alive
I’ll never forget the day my dad came in and told me she died.. cried like a little b**** man
I loved Amy Winehouse the same and the day she died was devastating to me, so I understand
But Aaliyah’s hits might be unmatched against Brandys hits lol I love both though
if we're talking early days jangle pop/post-punk R.E.M., i could see them match up with The Smiths
The matchups we are talking about would just end up being more of a celebration of the music than a competition.
I wanna do this one so bad
Would love to see this, but I don't think KTT really knows Brandy like that.
If this was on Lipstick Alley tho, this would be a whole different situation
They love Brandy like she's Kanye over there lmfaoo
i get the chills every time i hear this.
Davis vs Coltrane 50 song verzuz gonna go insane
Red Hot Chili Peppers vs ..... ?
REM
We need to just go ahead and do the 90’s vs 2000’s R&B
I’d damn near host it myself just to get it done sooner lol
Black Flag vs. Dead Kennedys
Rise would come in and talk s*** about Jello's voice haha
REM
So different style wise, I would hate to do Red Hot Chili Peppers dirty but REM has most of my votes
