Elijah Watts- Fairfax Ave Ft. Julian Casablancas prod. Daft Punk 4:01

Expectations can lead many to failure, these expectations were turned up a couple thousand notches when seemingly out of nowhere a newly signed artist “Elijah Watts” was picked up by Columbia Records. With little information known about him before the signing, the 21 years old artist mystery has allured the spotlight to shine on him. After months of working towards his debut project, the artist who went from zero to star is ready to showcase what Columbia saw in him. Accompanied by French producer powerhouse duo “Daft Punk” who had broken their 4 year silence production wise to work with the up & coming artist, “Fairfax Ave” is an infectious groovy track with collab vocals from critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Julian Casablancas” of The Strokes & The Voidz. Watts meshes his influences stemming from ska to indie hip hop together to create lush catchy melodies for his verse and hook that will be stuck in everyone’s head by the end of the first listen. In the first single for his debut album, Watts lyrically is looking back at the city that made him and praising how it shaped him into the person he is now today. He doesn’t shy away from telling his story and instead details it with a hook that will make any California native a fan right away. The track ends with Watts & Casablancas vocals fading with use of a talkbox as well as a live vocoder making for a dreamy outro reminiscent of vocals from artists in the shoegaze/dream pop genre. Fairfax Ave is simply a taste of what’s to come for Elijah Watts and his debut project “Now’s The Time” that is scheduled to drop soon.

Now That I've Found You by Jay Visionz

" Jayveon Williams or better known as Jay Visionz releases his debut Studio Album entitled, "Now That I've Found You" This album is heavily inspired by the quiet storm subset of R&B. This is a very beautifully composed concept project that uses love as a metaphor for himself. The title alone would suggest that this album is strictly a love album about finding his true love but the album is actually about finding himself where "you" stands for the perfect woman as well as his own true self. Jay uses incredible song writing to discuss his own personal demons and battle within his own mind while the whole time, we think we are just listening to a album about finding a soulmate. "

Reign first came up with the idea for this album in 2017. A couple months after he dropped his mixtape and secured his deal with XO he went off the radar and out the country to Ostia, Rome for 3 months. During his trip he learned a fair amount about the areas history from it's museums and libraries. It inspired him. At the night he would go down to the shores and write the album. He spent a large majority of his trip writing songs and ideas. This album was born in Rome. Upon returning from his trip he went straight to work in the studio. Along with the help of Kid Cudi and Clams Casino he started recording the album in his Harlem studio. Together the three mapped out the sound for the project to match Reign's vision. Reign explained that he didn't want his project to follow any guidelines. That the project had a meaning but at the same time he wanted each listener to interpret that meaning as they will. Enjoy.
