Hades (Devil Child) (2:57)

Hades was written and half recorded on a Pierre Bourne beat in late 2019 during Reign's trip to Rome.

A few months later it was finished at Chief Keef's home studio in Los Angeles. Reign, who had been in town during his tour with The Weeknd, went to Keef for assistance in finishing off a track. The 2 ended up doing a 6 hour long session that consisted of remaking the song and recording several new songs. Footage had recently leaked from the sessions giving many fans the assumption that the song would never see the light of day.

But Reign has handpicked it to be the first single from his new album.

Hades starts slow with the beat dropping after a mix of Sosa's and Pierre's production tags. The hard-hitting beat consists of booms from distorted bass and heavy 808s coupled with Reign's piercing raps. The Lost Boy details his bars about his life in the streets compared to his new star status he's earned now and how lart of him liked it better when he was junkie living in the Underworld of Harlem. He cites his birthdate throughout the song and refers to himself as "Devil Child" on the hook. The song ends with a line ripped from GG Allin song "Son Of Evil" going, "My demons lay beside me as I kiss them one by one/Then on that day I met a force that nothing will compare/I was born the son of evil when I f***ed the Devil there".
