DGP CHLOE
Real Name: Chloe Westford II
Born: Cincinnati, Ohio
Age: 17
Comparison: Rodeo Era Travis
Personality: JPEGMAFIA
Style: Homegrown / Psychedelic
Mentor/Executive Producer: SOPHIE

Chloe was born at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, where her parents attended. Ever since birth Chloe has been musical and began recording herself on the voice recorder in Windows 7 as a young child, which gave her a rough distinctive 90s / Lofi sound. She created a Facebook account and began posting short videos rapping over Lil B instrumentals.
Chloe grew listening to southern rap from the 90s and 00s, Gucci Mane, Lady Gaga, Bjork, Autre Ne Vuet , Kanye West, Kid Cudi
ILOVEMAKONNEN which gives her such distinct sound. Lots of early Nicki Minaj and Erykah Badu were also played in her household as a child
When she began making music under the name "Lil BlacK" in 2010 at just 7 years old. She caught the attention of Spaceghostpurrp, and was added to then rising collective "Raider Klan". She left the group in 2013 due to getting no traction and decided to focus on school (Parents didn't like how Purrp was acting).
She stopped making music for years and went soul searching and leading her to acid in a cousins basement in 2018. That same year she was kicked out of her parents home for coming out as trans which lead to living in a friends basement. Where DGP was formed
At just 16, she built DGP (which is a collective of artists and designers from Cincinnati) and had been releasing singles on Soundcloud and Bandcamp which have eventually caught the attention of Travis Scott through his younger siblings who play her songs on the aux and Grimes who first heard Chloe when she attended an underground rave in LA. She immediately asked the DJ "who is this" and proceeded to tweet the song months later.
Chloe became popular in the queer underground music scene via Twitter and the compilation DGP Vol. 1 which was fully produced by her and DGP Flock (released Feb 2019). In January of this year, she was invited out to LA by promoter Dommy who eventually became her manager.
Later that month, Travis Scott tweeted "CHLOE HOTLINE. KNOW THE NAME". Chloe tried to reach out to Travis but she got no response leaving her upset and confused. At this point she felt like a failure, so close to breaking through but nothing. Just a random tweet where his fans replied with "Who" and "DROP AN ALBUM".
Feeling down and hopeless Chloe decide to attempt suicide. She swallowed 5 100mg Ambien and fell a sleep in a pool of tears. She woke up the next afternoon feeling like hell and throwing up all over her room. When she checked her phone their were 32 missed calls from an LA number and a text telling her to call back, she ignores for several days dealing with getting back to a better mental state.
The next week she finally calls the number and it's Travis Scott's manager. Telling her that Travis has been listening to her s*** and wants her to come to LA. She doesn't believe and hangs up the phone. The number calls back and as she's cursing out his manger. Someone says "Yo it's Trav". They end up having a 3 hour convo about life and music and Chloe agrees to come to LA to sign with Trav and work on a few things.
Now, she has to make her self known and compete against her label mates to be a stand out. Don Toliver is getting all of the praises and Chloe is in the shadows doing features on smaller artists songs until her rollout starts. There's not much hype but her core fanbase believe she can shock the world with the help of SOPHIE who she met while on Melrose in January. Can Chloe become an icon, or will she remain underground? The truth will be told soon....
Debut Mixtape / Album - DYSPHORIA (inspo from how she deals with gender dysphoria and trauma from her youth)
Pros: Homegrown, Loyal fanbase, Support of LGBT community
Cons: Less mainstream appeal, slightly political which could be a turn off

do we rate the builds or nah
That’ll be a part of the final rating. First thing we’ll do is rate the artist introduction. We got to see how the artists are able to execute their builds.
