They're nice beats but idk I never found anything too stimulating or that I could relate to in Nas ' worldview. If I didn't have to navigate the rules of the list I wouldn't have had it on there.

I'm sure he was deep in his suck s*** era by the time you started listening to rap. SSLP came out when I was in grade 8 so Em was like the Beatles for my gen.

Its just the way he raps man… so effortless…. Its so satisfying to listen to. Just perfection

He did came off Encore which is absolutely garbage but that means jack s***. By that definition i wouldn’t rate somebody like Nas either cause he had some DUDS in the 00s. Nah, Em will always just be overrated to me. Very inconsistent discog, bad beat picker, annoying hooks all over the place, corny subject matter and bars in a lot of instances and became a caricature of himself later on

I don’t want to totally dunk on Em, he absolutely can rap with the best of them i just don’t think it translated into good music a lot of times for me. He does have a bunch of classic songs, but i don’t ever feel the want to listen to a whole Em album front to back.

But let me go on inspecting this list

Whole Lotta Red making 58 is wild to me and i don’t even dislike that album. I thought F A M thread was uncs
