where’s the MGM lion roar at the beginning of Real Magic
The movie started with Act I, it's still the same one
Is it on spotify yet
This version won't be. When there's an official official (finished) release it hopefully will be all platforms. For now, the Oblivion remastered version you can find on youtube is the best sounding one (better than Tidal)

This confirmed?
This confirmed?
Jay said multiple times on twitter he wants the album on all services, I guess putting the leak up as an exclusive in between was the compromise?
since we don't even know 100% if an official official will drop it's all speculation tho
Search up jay electronica act 2 remaster in yt and look in the comments or just pm me
@larryfish
I wrote you a pm. Could you help me out with the remaster?

Wonder what made him upload that - I posted the snippet here just last night
YouTube notifications? Watching this thread? Coincidence?
He really should've dropped this in 2012 tbh, it's very much continuing something MBDTF shifted, where rap can take from many genres and be something more grand. What's wild is that he already did Dinner at Tiffanys before Twisted Fantasy even came out tho. Imagining what type of impact the album could have had at the time...
But I guess all the songs which did come out did inspire many artists already
I think I read that Kanye said the song Gorgeous was directly inspired by Jay Electronica

This proves that there was vocals for 10k
there are a lotta cool little references to songs that came around the same time or would come later (so maybe some of those ideas served as inspirations/influences? who knows)
like new illuminati's "only spot a few blacks the higher i go" --> WTT murder to excellence
new illuminati's "One of the shortest passages in the King James version of the bible we all know is, 'Jesus Wept'" --> bound 2's "After all these long-ass verses I'm tired, you tired, Jesus wept" where the line's cleverness relies on the fact jay e sez
rough love's "she think she know me well . . . okay" --> story of OJ's "i'm not black i'm OJ . . . okay" (this is similar in the sarcastic use of "okay" n its delivery)
maybe more idk but those r the ones i noticed
Why?
They're playing the track while doing the violin on top of it, if u listen in the beginning u can hear someone singing, I might be mistaken but if u listen close u should be able hear someone( probably jeymes)

Yeah I’ve been thinking about this too. Especially the amount of references to Hov. It’s a little awkward how many there are scattered all over the record.

awkward how?
i'm finally warming up to welcome to knightsbridge
didn't really like the main melodic instrument but fixating on the lyrics i'm enjoying the song more
still rly the only 1 out of all of them that i'm iffy on
crazy. all the rest i play with no hesitation
awkward how?
One of JE's flaws is re-using classic lyrics too much, when he doesn't need to.
Hov nods on Act 2:
"Domino, domino, I only spot a few Blacks the higher I go" (Murder to Excellence)
So like the Lord say, "I'ma make the song cry"
Him and 'Ye told you p**** niggas watch the throne, why? (Song Cry)
Jay Z has a song called '03 Bonnie & Clyde
Road to Perdition is a Hov sample from "Success" w Nas (wonder if there's a version with him on it)
"You can pay for school but you can't buy class" (Swagga Like Us)
Hov interview sample on Nights
And then there's Biggie lines, a GZA line... it's a lot. You can tell he really looks up to Hov.
