Not saying this was Jay's plan all along for the album to necessarily "disappear" and pop-up again randomly, but in September 2012 I feel like it was zipped up and thrown somewhere ready for it to be found.

S*** this could've leaked even around that time, I'm still glad someone found a way to get the album

I’m glad he decided to officially release it, but I swear to god of the version on my iTunes when it drops is the same version as the leak (unmastered) it’s going straight in the recycle bin

I am a huge stan. But there’s no elaborate plan here. It just finally leaked and the positive feedback motivated him to pull the leak onto streaming. It’s a blessing either way tho.
