Letter to Falon
Since this album is from 2012 does it give any of you a sense of nostalgia
It was for me even though I didn't know anything of the album back then
Someone who has heard the finished version just said jay is considering dropping it now
there will literally never be a better moment for that, he'd better do it
@deej61 things like this also make it hard to see how the reason it didnt come out is because he didnt have a hit song. Also when you add on that it was Jay Z's fav album
@TheRealScarves @Scarves can you shed some light on this?
True but who knows
i haven’t noticed big moments on the album that feels like a verse missing
most of the songs sound finished, just not mastered or mixed
although i’ve only listened 2 times
there may have been verses on 10000 lotus petals but having an instrumental outro seems very jay esque
Its only rough love and roundtable that sound incomplete
This is what the “unreleased scene” is meant to be about
True holy grails of music history
to hear Better in Tune with the Infinite in the context of the album makes it so so so so GOOD
same with Shiny Suit Theory, doesn't really sound as good on Written Testimony
-My shrink told me, "It's a feeling they'll never know"-
It's been mixed already, just hasn't gone through mastering and final touches yet
This isnt actually clear. Mike Chav (Jays engineer who would have done the mixing and mastering) said the version we have hasnt been mixed or mastered and that he has a version that he himself mixed and mastered. On the other hand people have looked at the audio files it and said its def been mixed but not mastered.
Hopefelly Mikes version comes out , as there are other differences and is the actual final version.
It's not uncommon for artists to be credited for samples of their vocals. Normally they get writer credits. Nas was credited on Dead Presidents II after all and the sample is just "I want dead presidents to represent me"
