if people are making art, celebrate them for it.
if it's not for you, say nothing and move on.
for those of you hating: have you ever put time and energy into a song? a music video? it feels incredible to put yourself out there like that.
imagine you spend 20-30 hours on a song or a video, post it, and then some internet rando insta-replies with "trash."
it's kind goofy if you think abt it...
the world is in so much pain right now, bruddas. let's work on spreading more love in the coming year.

It’s different when people are posting the same successful millionaire artists who are fake and not even what they seem to be. These people are real people who don’t lie and are genuine and deserve attention and love

I think saying you don't like something is fine and artists should be prepared for some people to say that

You don't have to like it but the ultrahate being spewed at them for just making s*** they think will be cool is unnecessary and i would view it as unnecessary in any situation like this.
and its not like these small artists will have any weight on ur day to day life like huge millionaire artists do. It's so easy to just ignore their s*** if u don't like it and just not acknowledge the few threads they are in but it's not easy to ignore like, Travis Scott in a McDonald's ad lol which would make sense for u to make a full strong opinion on him and have it be known cuz he's everywhere and you can't just ignore him.

I mean it seems pretty light in here and if anything mostly looks like people responding to each other or op trying to proselytize it as the next wave. Is it really ultra hate ? No ones going out of their way to message the artists or something. We listened and said what we thought like people do for almost every other music thread. I don’t think everything necessitates positive reception. Yes there’s a difference in scale of artist but again people are speaking to each other about a strangers music big or small like every other thread in this sxn u know?

Just in general tbh but they do get a lot of love from Instagram and other social media’s just not here, I just thought people on Ktt should try to curate the next wave of music instead of eating up the same artists that have been posted everyday for the past 5 years, it’s time for something new you know

Ok treating website and social media platforms like a monolith is a mistake. a nebula of people can specifically follow and engage with artists directly and congregate around that. Ktt is not that. If people like the music you post they’ll engage with it but you don’t really have to s*** on what’s popular to share a genuine interest, or expect a certain social media following to translate everywhere.
