    A Mad Ass Nigga

Fr, Buck need to accept his truth and keep it pushing. It doesn’t tarnish his legacy or anything. He got caught up too many times and he’s still that nigga in my eyes. It’s about to be 2024 soon, there’s no reason for him to go out like that. When he do the most. He just give 50 more power.

If he owned it he'd gain more respect

A lot of his Memphis brethren know exactly what he's doing and still ride for him. It's a non-issue and 50 isn't even hot like that to be pissing Buck off that much

s/o both though for their music

    Buck was fire

Straight Outta Cashville a genuine 2000s classic and Buck the World was hard

How you gonna say you love the 2000s and slander G-UNIT SOUTH

Am not a huge G Unit fan/NY rap fan in general tbh. Don't like Jay, don't love Nas, don't love Wu. Only NY act I love is BIG, like Tribe and I love GRODT and Illmatic. Rest you can keep. West Coast the best coast

Name one rap album after 2020 that’s not from a legacy artist that is as good as the loved albums from the 2000s and the 2010s.

I legit cannot think of one unless maybe genesis owusu counts and I don't even think his albums are really that good in full

She’s better than all these male rappers imo.

Shes just built different. Unlike them, she’s exceptional live as well

so youre moving the goalposts in order to suit the narrative of this thread

to think i almost took this thread serious

I'm saying that good music is still coming out

    That's it lol

And Kendrick has dropped a classic in the 2020s, so it counts

    Why you ignoring the rest?

    We love music.

Which does make most of us out of touch with how it is consumed recently.

You guys put too much value in being “in touch” and force yourself to like anything because you feel the need to keep up with 8 year olds on Roblox

    Have some self respect

The more I think about this I wonder who actually is in touch with music

Does it mean the people who chart watch or listen to radio all the time?

What even is being in touch with music at this point in time

Being open to new artists and being an active listener (seek new cool music out on your own) instead of a passive listener (being fed music by social media or playlists)

You can enjoy the legends and keep an open mind to the new lyricists simultaneously

Like I said we got plenty of room at the table

I remember when GKMC came out it was so beloved that it led to conversations about whether you could call something an 'instant classic' or not

I haven't really seen this so far this decade

Idk does it make me in touch I like 10000 gecs and was willing to hear/hate the earlier projects?

I like dj smokey and rxknephew as well as listening to legit anything new on Fridays whether I like the artist or not

But Im not sure if that makes me more in touch than trying the teezo album or Zach Bryan one

Just feels like being in touch today is way different than in 2013
