@BEBOP what's ur favourite pedro? i really really liked pain and glory it was my surprise movie of 2019, blew me away

My top is actually Matador. Followed by Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown, the flower of my scent and Live Flesh. I still haven't seen Pain & Glory but I heard it's a return to form for Pedro so I'm excited to get to it.

Some other Pedro films I enjoyed were Law of Desire, Tie me up tie me down, The Skin I live in and What have I done to deserve this.

A good intro to him is all about my mother, the melodrama camp type style isn't as heavenly present and the film is probably his most appealing to a newcomer. It was actually my first from him and I really liked it

Yeah bro If you enjoy those films I'm sure you'll love most of his films. His use of color and his heavenly sets are characters of their own, he really brings that over the top yet completely self aware flair to his films. Soundtracks are always authentically infused and his characters totally alive. Legit one of my favorite directors! Lmk when you watch some of his films, I'd love to hear what you think bro

Are his earlier films also beautiful and rely on colour visually? The oldest one I’ve seen is All About My Mother

For me some of his most beautiful films are his earliest ones, there is a raw artistic energy with all his decisions, especially Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He seems to be obsessed with the color red lol.
