Just finished the second watch, I noticed something I didn’t catch on the first watch:

Was the ending supposed to be a dream sequence?

As soon as Emma walks into the diner, the audio goes quiet and the crackling noise that was present throughout dream sequences earlier in the film starts playing, and in the background the song playing on the radio is mentioning dreams

Saw this the other day and I'm not seeing what a lot of this thread is. The twist wasn't that big imo. Had more of a problem with the screenplay than anything. Alanna Haim sucked ass too.

But idk why everyone’s calling it a “twist”… is it really a twist? If anything, i could consider it a marketing twist. But a film device twist? Not at all imo. It’s sort of making me feel like I’m crazy lol, cause everyone is talking about “the twist!!!!” And I’m like guys… this is in the first 15 mins of the movie. It’s just the conflict of the film.

It’s a marketing twist. Going into the film the hype was “avoid spoilers so you don’t know what the twist is! Zendaya did something and it’s better to go in without knowing”

Would've been underwhelmed if I went into the movie with this kind of marketing. It was actually better that I knew beforehand
