cuz they mostly dont give no credit and their ignorant stans act like they own the sound while they dont even have a say on the songs and they are theirselves are mostly uneducated about the culture too. its just disrespectful cuz all of this are just for money too.
this dude a kpop stan and prolly knows more about music than almost everyone on this site
still dont understand how kpop is taking over this hard when jpop is so much better lol
I find both kinds of Korean and Japanese idol music pleasant, but I was listening to a modern jpop song the other day and one thing that struck me as offputting was the use of bit-sounding synths and multiple sections within the song. On the contrary, kpop is made accessible for American and European market, because most of it is just rnb or edm production.

Song in question. It’s just those little quirks of why jpop hasn’t broke into the mainstream outside of a few songs.
I’m interested in what you find disturbing about kpop though… minors posing in lewd clothing/positions?

I wasn't even talking about idol jpop, that s*** is equally disturbing. I can see how that can be confusing. Both are factory pump and dumps with horrific working conditions.
Stuff like Yuuri, Tani Yuuki, Aimer, etc is what I'm referring to when it comes to jpop. S*** that is massive over there, is very western pop influenced, yet gains 0 traction here outside of either anime circles or a small niche.
Legit, go through Japan's top 30 billboard sometime. I don't see why stuff like kpop idol groups blow up so hard overseas when stuff like that exists (I presume Korea has their own kpop non-idol artists that dominate charts, too)
Sampling is not copying a culture’s sound top to bottom and regurgitating it.
It’s taking a peice of it, till it barely even sounds like the original then adding a completely new genre/style of music to it.
Putting sampling on the same level as that other s*** is an oversimplification and insulting to the creativity that goes into hip hop.
Same goes for your comment - I disagree with your interpretation of K-pop as "copying". It's bullshit from people who have clearly done the bare minimum of listening to the genre.
