    I’m wondering the same thing brother, nothing really changed for me in terms of taxes/filing status and I did a direct comparison to my return from last year and I didn’t really enter anything different, I’m using TurboTax but I’ve been using it for a while now and never had issues. Both my federal and state taxes went up despite me making about ~$1000 less this year. Have you filed already? Did you notice an increase/decrease compared to last year?

    I prob should consult a tax expert but I can’t afford that s*** rn

    I work for the same company in the same position as last year too, only reason my income went down this year (despite getting a raise) is I got a pretty huge one time bonus last year

    Can’t tell what changed for you but in general it’s better to owe a bit of money or barely get refunded so that you haven’t given the government a interest free loan

    I owe a little over a $1000 in state taxes this year and got a McDonald’s number 4 fed refund

    Huh yeah idk, if I was you I’d probably use Chat GPT or another AI and tell it what you’ve told me if you wanna find out what happened, feel like this is a situation where AI is p helpful since it’s free

    I haven’t done mine yet but they should definitely be a lot bigger since my wife and I had a kid last year so I think we get a credit for that

    What @Banana_Clip said is true tho, you def wanna be as close to 0 as possible so you’re not giving the feds an interest free loan throughout the year. I need to change my withholdings

    Gonna be interesting to see what if anything the corporations do. Anthropic is valued at ~380billion with investments from Amazon, Nvidia, Google and Microsoft. They'd be holding the bag if anthropic loses all their govt contracts

    only xAI has a huge deal with the Pentagon, mainly because nobody has made a deal with xAI besides the Pentagon because it’s crap lol

    everyone else it makes up like sub 1% of their revenue

    if they really try to blacklist them as a supply chain risk like the Pentagon has been talking about there will be a huge legal battle, and they will lose
