Can’t blame anybody for having 0 hope in electoral politics, esp at the national level. So if that’s your stance I have no argument. But if we’re going to put in any stock into this game then AOC is legit the best option we can possibly have, name another Progressive that has a real shot at winning in 2028.

Her advantage is that the media will cover her no matter what, she will be the most talked about candidate if she runs.

I’m of the opinion that Hilary & Kamala lost not because they’re women but because they’re s*** candidates.
Her being young & Latino will help as a correction from Trump who is already at his most unpopular with 3 years to go in his Presidency.

I also believe whoever the Dems run in 28 will win, this is the best shot for someone like her. The challenge is just winning the primary, whoever faces Vance will win.

This is crazy and I think it's because Talarico has been successfully making the case against Christian Nationalism using his own belief in the bible. They see him and his messaging as a huge threat. I really hope he wins against Jasmine because I don't think she has any shot at winning in Texas.

Yeah it’s easy to be apathetic and disillusioned about of the US govt, unfortunately for a lot of us we live here and do not have the resources to leave, so we have to do what we can to make the best of this.

Ideally people will build up their communities and try and enact real change but that’s a very difficult ask when most people are just trying to survive.

A democratic president will bring a lot of the same imperialist s***, so I don’t think anyone thrilled about that, but as someone living in Minneapolis who has felt my life threatened under the Trump admin I’m not ready to give up and say both sides are bad so I shouldn’t try to improve my life and community.

As an American I wouldn't run away even if I had the funds to - it's important that we fight within the belly of the beast.
