thanks man and i'm sorry to hear about your father too, it's insane to me how people are expected to be patriotic when the government has always treated vets so bad. they were lied to, sent into combat, and if they were lucky enough to make it back, they were pretty much completely abandoned (by physical and mental healthcare). my grandpa couldn't find work when he got back so he sold weed and went to prison for 5 years. so not only did he get badly injured in combat fighting for what he thought was right, he also lost his right to vote. how f***ed up is that. if i'm being fr, im one big medical emergency from having to borrow money from friends or family. im just lucky to be healthy right now

We’re all lucky in a sense. I mean obviously s*** is bad but (generalizing here) life in the US hasn’t been bad comparatively to places they’ve intervened in. I saw someone post that were just getting our karma back and I agree with that. We have to unfortunately go through this due to a butterfly effect of poor decisions and selfish leaders. All we can do is stay prayed up and try to look out for one another while hoping for the best

    Universal healthcare = bad
Free money to negotiate your own healthcare = good

Can’t wait for my 80+ year old grandparents call up the CEO of health insurance and cripple them with their negotiation tactics to get the best deal possible

    Jesus f***ing christ

my grandpa died from cancer in september, leaving my grandma in enormous medical debt. he was a vietnam veteran who came into contact with agent orange. the VA fought tooth and nail to not pay for anything, to the point where his appointments were so stagnated that he just slowly died with little answers. shows how much they value the people they send out to be killed. this is anecdotal and maybe not the most pertinent but it's cathartic for me to type it out and i also totally see how luigi must have felt

Republicans love to honor our veterans until it comes time to actually care for them

  • This will cut costs on the most popular exchange marketplace plans (which are, across the board, absolutely f***ing terrible) by a whole 10%? Wow!!! Now instead of paying $800 a month to have nothing covered, my tax dollars will ensure I only pay $720 a month 😊

  • At least insurance companies will have to tell me what’s covered and what’s not, and what percentage I’m going to have to pay out of pocket. You couldn’t find that out! Unless you went to their website or called them or read your mail or asked the doctor’s office. I’ve been asking Grok, but now I don’t have to so it can go back to being my girlfriend

Am I wrong for hoping this happens so people gotta wake tf up?

Get a bunch of useless Dems in office or have the country be in condition for a general strike, mass resistance?

very true man, sometimes it feels like we are fish in a barrel. i understand why people say death to America, i mean look how much death America has brought to other places. that said, i dont even think that somebody should die just because they are born in Israel (and we all hate Israel) so similarly, i dont want anyone to have to suffer because of the conditions of their birth. hope we make it out on the other side and see a brighter day

Ahh yes, the mindset that the Far Left had that was so effective in 2016 and 2024 at getting America to wake up

I feel like people will still defend even if it happens, but I'm curious to see how blind loyalist react to him actually doing it

    lol at “far left”

And it’s not the same thing at all, I begrudgingly voted for both those shills in those elections. How’d that go?

The president canceling an election would have to start some real resistance though

    This won’t happen anyways

Safelite repair, Safelite replace is crazy

Having that said, I doubt he will do anything other than intimidate ICE officers, which is still beneficial.

Yeah I guess “Puritan Left” is a better term

But yeah you personally voting for them is not the point — the point is that Trump won in both years (regardless of who you voted for) and both years the Puritan left said that him winning would be what it takes to wake up the voters and that didn’t happen either time
