They completely did away with any surface level semblance of any resistance to fascist politics and additionally Harris said she wouldn't change a thing about Biden's Gaza policy during an ongoing genocide that they were justifying by spouting debunking "mass rape campaign" lies and said nothing about the actual countless documented rapes of palestinian prisoners

Biden was a good president. Might be the least impactful president of my lifetime (born during the Clinton administration), and probably not Top 25 presidents OAT, but he did well.
My personal rankings of presidents in my lifetime:
1. Obama obv.
2. Trump
3. Clinton
4. Bush

Of those 5, Bush personally has the lowest approval rating from me, but Biden only getting 4 years (the only president of my lifetime to get 4 and the first since H.W. Bush from 1988-1992) and being pretty mid tier during his time doesn't put him in front of Bush, who dealt with two national crises in office (9/11 and Hurricane Katrina) and was genuinely a good person who did what he thought was best for the country. Also couldn't implement a lot of his original ideas due to said national emergencies.

She capitulated to the right because immigration was arguably the #1 election issue and the majority of voters wanted someone tough on migration
And now we've got Trump on record talking about arresting Mamdani (and other mayors) who are actively against ICE operations, allocating $75 billion to ICE in this new bill, denaturalizing american citizens, deporting people to countries they've never been to, whatever the hell this alligator alcatraz is supposed to be

They're literally just doing hitler s*** now. Biden was funding the practice of hitler s*** in Palestine and now its come back to the United States.
I'm not claiming "it's all exactly the same."
I just don't think the lesson people should take from the 2024 election season is some sort of "vote harder" "blame x group of voters" or an "i told you so! all you latinos that voted for trump see what u get now!" type attitudes as if its some sort of team sports rather than politicians that are bought and paid for for corporations and they spend so much money to manipulate very uneducated people
whether its corporations/interests that conduct war across the world, or make money by denying people's healthcare claims and so on most of these are pretty bipartisan things that dominate the government except a small minority of elected officials who don't take superpac money but still lend legitimacy to a party of people who mostly do
The democrats completely failed, and lied. Whether you want to place most of the blame on biden or his staff or whatever. The party at large, completely failed the people of America and also in drastic measures the world
They ran propaganda to create vaccine misinformation in other countries so that they would question the legitimacy of them unless they came from the US so that the US would have a monopoly/patent instead of thinking maybe every country should be able to try not to die
And not to mention justifying genocide and illegal occupations under international law.
People pretend like the parties are vastly different when most of the differences are cosmetic. The mask has fallen off and the leadership of the Dems is concerned with "antisemitism on the Left" rather than rising fascism that they cozied up next to and failed to resist in any genuine fashion.

I just wanted to laugh at the people who said Harris/Trump were the same on immigration. There were a lot of people on here saying things wouldn't change or that it wouldn't get worse.
