How many times does it gotta be explained that in a stable political environment, protestor movements could be centralized and focused on pressuring leadership to move towards peace and a cessation of violence. Instead, Pro-Palestine protestors are getting disappeared by ICE, and activists are engaged with other issues this administration causes - constitutional crises, financial instability, deterioration of public services, illegal deportations, the list goes on.
I understand people's choice to abstain from a moral standpoint, I just don't think it was a practical choice, and I don't think anything this administration has done so far affirms that decision.

If they really cared about genocide, they would've seen that it's a huge red flag that Trump called the Biden-Harris administration antisemitic because they're not kissing Israel's ass enough
If they really cared about genocide, they would know that this decision will effect their children and granchildren, and everyone's children and grandchildren around the world, for decades and decades to come.
If they really cared about genocide, they would be terrified to take us further down the path towards white supremacy, instead of taking a step firmly in the other direction, and giving black women a single W after they've been raped and oppressed for CENTURIES.
Instead we now get the rapist white supremacist billionaire who thinks poor people are MULCH. That's the path they CHOSE.

Abstaining from voting was short sighted. Calls to abstain were always likely to improve Trump’s chances more than anything else since right wingers are intrinsically disinclined to support Palestine with it being a leftist movement, and it would only be leftists taking part.

palestine didn't even cost kamala the vote. it cost her voters for sure but she didn't lose simply because of palestinian support or any marginalized group as far as im aware. she lost because she didnt give a reason for left-leaning voters to vote for her and it split her voter base. democrats are all over the place right now because they don't know what to stand for anymore and their voter base recognized that pre and post election and acted accordingly

whether trump emboldens it or not, im still gonna get harassed. maybe i have a higher chance of get killed now but we were already getting killed to begin with. i understand the frustrations with trump which is why i didn't vote for him to begin with BUT kamala wasn't gonna stop white supremacy or bigotry or homophobia or anything and that's why she lost. her campaign came down to "im not the other guy" and that isn't inherently wrong but things aren't good to begin with and she promised nothing to change that. the illusion continues to dissipate when i see democrats hate on trans athletes post-election among other things...
