The end of manic episodes is not commonly a suicide lol, that's way more common in depressive episodes. There is a somewhat increased risk however, and when it does happen it usually comes with delusions, and threatening involuntary hospitalization does not help with that.

Conservatorship is only even an option when the person is mentally unable to make informed decisions.
