I would assume it’s because they probably got a lot of pushback, doubt and skepticism earlier in their careers because of the boundaries that they were pushing. Proving all of that wrong, being celebrated for it, and then for the rest of your life being conditioned to think that any thoughts you have are as pure as the original genius ones, and that any and all pushback must just be due to people not being caught up yet, you being on another level just like you were at the beginning etc.

“ An update on Trump's deportations: the Department of Homeland Security has a new statement out about deportations. They're saying they have deported ~400,000 people since Trump took office. That puts them on pace to deport ~600,000 people in one year they say.
I suspect that includes people removed by both ICE and border agents
(CBP). I think this number also includes people who have chosen to leave the US voluntarily, instead of receiving a formal removal order, which comes with a bar on reentry.
For reference, in fiscal year 2024, the Biden admin deported 685,000, even more if you count people turned away at airports or who came to a port of entry--that total for FY 2024 was 778,000. The difference with Trump is more people being arrested in the US interior than before, but they haven't released data breaking down who was deported from the interior.
