sort out yourself first and then preach. be the change you want to see in the world. I think it's probably beneficial that Kendrick went that route as opposed to running off of twitter's fumes, capitulating to god knows how many miserable bullies and their emotionally drawn up manifestos

I tried to type some thoughts about how many of the thoughts of hopelessness in this album will resonate with people in/near Kendrick’s age group

But it was so f***ing cynical I’ll have to try to work it out when I can settle and gather my thoughts.

I have a response and I'm always open to talking about my beliefs in depth, especially with people who have different beliefs but are genuinely interested in hearing my perspective, but you came itt super antagonisically having a meltdown for no reason lol.

well we have to interrogate the societal and some political context about guns a little

in academia, research on guns usually concentrate on gun-based injury or death

reagan once said, after surviving an assassination attempt "getting shot hurts. no matter how much i tried to breathe, it seemed like i was getting less and less air" which you can symbolically attribute to kendrick's feelings over his place in the sociopolitical conversation as an artist

firearms also just generally represent forms of selfhood forged through the protection of home and family, which based on the cover goes without saying
