His vocal performance on the 1st verse is so elite, s*** feels like he ascended to another realm, I need to know what that booth looked like as he was rapping this s*** cause I genuinely can't comprehend how he did this
My favourite rap song of all time, I can't imagine a better one being made
This album is leaps and bounds above all his other work it’s an immaculate almost perfect record front to back
The only thing I would’ve changed, is not reading the whole poem front to back each time. I would’ve preferred each bit and then only the full thing at the end
I wish these big rappers did more tight tapes of cool raps
Artistic integrity is a b****
Amazing strength and also crippling curse like all things
You dont understand as a longtime Knxwledge fan how it felt to hear this song for the first time.
Like fam used the best beat from what I personally would call Knxwledge’s best tape of his catalog
Let's not sleep on the lalah Hathaway song they sampled too, it's really good if you never heard the OG

Lalah adlibbing over her own sample on Momma was crazy.
was listening to this with my mom a few years ago on some chill s***, definitely an amazing song. idk where I’d rank it tho, TPAB has too many songs I like better

Luckily you don’t have to rank it.
Can't put into exact words the emotions the beat makes me feel. Takes me back to seeing sunrises as a kid for some reason
should've led to a lot more collabs btwn em
You can tell Kendrick really be meticulous when it comes to beat selection
He’ll somehow f*** around and use a specific producer jusr once but it’ll be like…some of their best production ever.
You woulda thought him and 9th been an automatic homerun and he only used him once…and it was Duckworth (top 3 9th Wonder beat)
But you can also tell TPAB was definitely more experimental and in tune to the internet cause 2nd half of u was on soundcloud for like 2 years before it got picked up
