Iirc I was too absorbed in the Wu Tang to give a s*** what the rest of New York was doing in 2001. Had Hard Knock Life when it came out and loved it but otherwise wasn't paying much attention to Jay or Nas yet. Also not much of the hype around that beef made it up to Western Canada.
