    Not offended, as a matter of fact I love his music, but the discourse around Kendrick has always being ridiculous, since Hiipower lmao

    Sure people can go over the top and go deeper than they need to go, but Kendrick has had really cool metaphors and double/triple ententes his whole career I don't see why the dissect guy has been getting clowned the last 200 pages

    Had that exact conversation in the first four lines with my dad when his dad and mom died and my life has been the rest of the verse after that

    I just like how he wraps the whole song acknowledging that these relationships with fathers isn't healthy, acknowledges men who grew up without fathers and the struggles that can come with it and salutes them for figuring it out right, and stresses the importance of breaking these cycles so that women won't have to suffer due to the upbringing of their father being present or non-present.

    You just can't and likely won't get a track like Father Time from Drake, which is a damn shame seeing as he's a father now too.
