Maybe he doesn’t catch Mike, but I still think he would sell a s*** ton of records
I know its a major what if situation but in his case Drake is really an artist meant for streaming and who helped streaming boom
A LOT of the other major artist bad bunny, beyonce etc all drop physical cds and vinyls each drop
now because an album is on streaming don't make it art
not to add they are on cd and vinyl
yall done lost the plot
Post your certified lover boy vinyl or cd take your time

Or you could look at it as he’s not siphoning off resources to fake streams/ or buy manufactured plays
big sean brought more to the culture than kenny llama bffr
He did bring a lot of terrible bars to this thread
Drake gotta big ass beef stick about 3k inches long
Ah, you must be looking for the G & G sxn. Head south, make two lefts and then a right
Drake can have all the success he wants. Hear his music no problem but don’t talk him up like he is some kind of god mc
you specifically mean from 10 years ago or more ? The Cool took forever to go Platinum plenty of classics take forever to go platinum especially albums that weren't launched in the streaming era what is your point. The streaming era lead to a lot of s*** getting elevated that wouldn't survive physical era at all
Someone mentioned Carter 3 earlier and that might be a good example. Most people aren’t listening to that front to back anymore because of streaming. The impact that album had at the time was CRAZY and might seem like a classic to someone like me. I was a freshman in HS so that album moved mountains. Ask most people now and they’re only running select songs. That’s a pro and con of streaming.
The Cool is a top 3 album OAT to me. Personal classic for sure no debate. universal classic maybe not

me not having one doesn't negate them being sold. you not this stupid are you right?
If streaming era never exist Drake doesn't do as well as he does and thats okay but its not even remotely close
Y’all really make niggas have to turn into Quadra 2.0 like this is blatantly false, the reason Drake’s sales are impressive at all is cause he did huge numbers before streaming too
Bro was going head up against JAY-Z and Kanye as a rookie and nearing them in first week sales when you had to buy music. Man had 4 #1 albums and did over 500k first week three times before niggas knew what a stream was
Dave got DRIZZY getting his his wings COOKED

Boosted the popularity of collaborators like Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, Rapsody and Terrace Martin
Influenced older legendary artists like David Bowie
Of course Alright being chanted during BLM protests
Might not feel like a big deal to outsiders, but as a South African that album meant a lot. Felt like it did a lot to put us on the map. Alright even got quoted by our (corrupt, idiotic) former Minister of Finance during his budget speech

before streaming he had more concept albums and less albums composed of singles gathered together
I mean made officially.....
my guy all his albums are on cd and vinyl. Any why we arguing over what format music was distributed
before streaming he had more concept albums and less albums composed of singles gathered together
But what does that have to do with your argument that he wouldn’t sell a lot if it weren’t for streaming.
Drake could still tour after he broke his leg because he has 3 of them
You’ve been doing this for almost 48 hours brother
