Boi1da recently posted on his story a pic of Vybz Kartel, specifically a pic from when he was beefing with another dancehall artist Mavado, there’s parallels there with Kendrick and Drakes beef too. I could be reaching but I think Boi1da has produced Drakes response.
He also produced "the Language", where Drake threw some shots at Kendrick.
Another classic on the way ?

This all goes back to the whole "Kendrick has a diss track saved and he should drop it first" thing, which was started by adin or whoever. It makes no sense for him to do that. Kendrick said his piece, light jabs, and Drake can either engage or not. He's not obliged but if he does it'll bring some life into this already stale beef that Jake Hole stunk up.
Drake's people either getting Adin and these guys to put pressure on Kendrick going the Budden route. Releasing multiple disses, dont respond, make him look desperate and irrelevant
Drake is one of the most calculated guys in the industry, but so is Kendrick. Consensus is that Drake is the one who needs to respond, regardless of what f***ing Adin Ross and Mal says
feel like Kendrick is in an evil lair somewhere rn
Trolls usually hide in caves, yes
We’re so focused on Kendrick we forgot the Boy about to end future and metro

Alright, so here are my thoughts and theories. It's kinda long so ignore it if you don't wanna engage and please, be reasonable and don't troll. I'd like to read some of y'alls thoughts about things you might or might not agree with.
Again, these are just MY THOUGHTS/THEORIES.
I don't think Kendrick chose this moment in time to jump out and take direct shots at Drake just for the sake of it. I think everything leading up from the cultural reception/commercial performance of MMATBS to how every song he's been on since then (with the exception of Like That, of course) had zero impact whatsoever, all led him to choosing to go at Drake because he knows that's really the only other card he has left to play. I think he knows how thirsty people still are to see them go at it and he knows that's a surefire way to drum up some much-needed momentum heading into his next album, which I think will drop this summer (everything is a rollout, after all).
I think Kendrick's plan was was to drop the verse on Like That and have Drake jump out immediately with a response (he probably figured that'd be what Drake would do since that's how Drake reacted to Meek and Push) and then he'd hit him with what he had in the tuck, grab a quick W and have all that momentum leading up to the summer.
I don't think Kendrick saw Like That being this big commercially and I don't think he even needed it to be big commercially. I think he just needed all the noise and chaos it'd cause, much like his Control verse did, because he knew all of it would paint him in a good light and have his name thrown into discussions again.
I think Drake has a response ready, but after the Push situation, I think he's learned to let logic lead and not emotions when heading into potential battles with rappers. I think he believes Kendrick doesn't really want to battle but simply wants all the noise and chatter around his name, similar to what he did with his Control verse and so I don't think he feels any sort of pressure to jump out the window first. I think he's ready to do so only if Kendrick goes at him again, preferably with a diss track, so he's sure he is serious about things. I also think part of the reason behind his silence is because he's trying to figure out how deep this s*** goes and he's trying to see just how many people have turned against him and what the industry agenda is against him.
I think Drake will release an album this year where he addresses EVERYTHING and more.
Not a bad assessment at all.
As much sense as it makes that Drake wants to play this differently from past situations, I do think the “wanting Kendrick to drop a full track” angle just isn’t working with the general public.
If Kendrick dropped a full track after the verse, before even getting a response, he would just look desperate on some Joe Budden s***, get clowned and drake wouldn’t even have to respond
I think they know this and tried to bait Kendrick into overplaying his hand
Kendrick don’t have to respond to himself lol. I see why they put that narrative out there but it’s not sticking. If the dust settles and nothing happens, no one is going to be saying “wow Kendrick is p**** for not dropping the full track he didn’t want beef” lol

Metro a producer and Future ain't a rappers rapper. If anything, people probably want Drake and those guys to make up to make music more than beef lol
It was obvious Travis didn't know about Kendricks diss. I think I said that when people were making a big deal out of it.
These gimmrick jabs
Sidenote, also keep in mind that ye is a special idiot who will say whatever that can generate the most headlines.
It's not something crazy Ye just said. Others things from before Ye said it alluded to it. Drake alluded to it at the time. Jay / Ye we're trying to figure out how to stop / slow him down.
Not a bad assessment at all.

exactly what i said. Very obvious approach they're trying. Adin and Mal tried their best, but they aint the gatekeepers and deciders of this s***
