When it’s all said and done
Drake will be seen as a glorified Nelly.
Cole will be seen a sofisticated Common.
Kendrick will be the King of his generation.
I don't think you realize how insulting this is to Common

Apology heard around the world. Cole let Drake inflate his ego.
Well my main point is that Kendrick said nothing that requires an immediate response on a full track aimed at him. What lines from Like That do you think are so, so bad that he has to hop in the booth and release something within a few days? I've always said he has to respond in some way whenever he is dropping something where it fits in
I disagree with the notion that he needed to drop immediately. Like I'd said, he learned from the Meek situation on what not to do, because responding the way Meek did is what ultimately costed him.
I'm simply explaining the rationale behind why Drake is being urged to put a response out as soon as possible: the song is big, and it's not even entirely what Kendrick said that mattered necessarily, but that he said it in the first place that made waves. Again, even if you don't think it was very impressive. It bolstered the popularity of the song, kind of overshadowing the other performances, making it his song in a way; people are talking about the song because of Kendrick, etc. (hence this would be why Drake would dedicate a diss to Kendrick specifically because Kendrick essentially made it less about Drake and Future and more about him and Drake).
Drake especially now, I'd argue, has no choice but to come out swinging because if another "Like That" is on part 2 of this album before Drake responds, Drake sending out "warning shots" like Cole did here would make him look like an idiot and a bit of a p****. Plus, because of what Cole did last night, there's more pressure on Drake. The Boy kinda needs to swing for the fences and soon.

If you know HipHop deeper than a casual listener it makes perfect sense.
