I was literally playing out a scenario that could likely happen. Soul went on an interview and admitted it was a cry for attention when he did it and that he probably would live through the fall but did it anyway. SilasHe honestly needs to take a break and possibly look for a new sound.
He's at the stage Cole is talking about where the rapper accomplishes everything he wanted and now the music becomes getting stale and the "fall off" starts.
With Kendrick, he had writers block and had to focus on his own therapy journey for inspiration.
With Cole, he spent time writing more and treating it like a sport.
With Drake, you could say the "fall off" has been happening already. His commercial success masks it. He doesn't need to drop hits every year. Go away and make people miss you a bit.
Find a new sound, get a new source of inspiration and really commit to it.
Honestly, Never Mind was the right idea but he needed to do better.
HNVM was perfect tbh. Her Loss was fire as well.
