That also isn't true. You can interpret lyrics and text in a number of ways away from the original meaning, especially if it's also filtered through the view the consumer has of the author or the songwriter.

If there was an objective and fixed value to everything that was written, there would be no point in a***yzing music or discussing lyrics at all since the meaning would be obvious to everyone.
