Those 3 albums is peak album Hov. My cousin, who got me into Hov after Takeover came out, swears by Vol. 1 and I need to revisit that but I like the older experimental MC/4:44 Jay too but them 3 stand above a lot of albums

Hov dumbed down on Blueprint 1 so much I can't ever co-sign it being him at the height of his talent even though I love the album.

@Leftside got a point in that American Gangster, RD & Black Album he was rapping much better.

I still love Blueprint but Jay was blackin on those albums

The Ruler's Back is great but the Dynasty Intro is up there in Hov intro's man. Nigga was blacking over a Just Blaze beat that sounded like a Final Fantasy level man

The funniest s*** about Blueprint 1 & 2 is that Blueprint 1 is objectively the better album.

But Blueprint 2 had some of Jay's BEST rapping it just happened to be sandwiched in between a lot of weak songs.
