Collaboration in music works in a multitude of ways. It can be a line or even a word that someone else offers in he studio. Once that artist uses that word/line (whether they end up crediting who gave it to them or not), they've broken y'all sacred "you must write all your s*** or else" rule of hip-hop.

Like. First off, Drake isn't responsible for crediting QM on Meek's album. That's on Meek and his people. There's a whole system behind verifying everyone that worked on a song and ensuring they're all credited for their work. That's something a label handles.
