I honestly don’t even want to keep going back & forth about this cause it ain’t like the big 3 some theory that needs heavy explanation

My original posts not even hard to understand

• XXL chose three upcoming talents that was making noise during a shift in rap (Cudi being one of them)

• this & other notable articles like it geared up the idea of what we know have as “the big 3”

I’m just pointing to early instances where the media tried to appoint the next leaders of the new school & I understand why Cudi was chosen as one at one point

I can see it if you really want it to be there, but in reality it’s not.

Wale Drake were the only two in a similar lane musically, Cudi was distant.

Kendrick, Cole, and Drake were the three making good songs while having great pens while also having substantial commercial success.

Big Three transferred from the Miami Heat to rap in a time where it was hard to say who was in first place for leader of the new school.

DMX, Jay Z, and Ja Rule were on a cover together teasing a supergroup but they were never called or thought of as the big three. Its a uniquely post-miami heat concept
