Peak of drake the kinda guy to memes was when he was Mr girls best friend who knows her more than she knows herself lol. No one else would put out a song like make me proud lmfao

That's why the heel turn will always be funny to me lmaooo

    Bruh went from

Think it's because he went from presenting himself as an "ally" (couldn't find the right word) and then somewhere along the line, began openly antagonizing them. He's not the only one who does this in rap (Future does this too), but with Drake I guess it was more jarring?

Yeah it was more jarring I guess because Drake used to write so much more love songs and ballads dedicated to women. He presented himself as the perfect gentleman and women loved how he was always catering his music to them. Then somewhere along the line, he started to transition to more rapping and aggression and he started portraying himself as a player and the bachelor lifestyle became damn near a permanent way of life, at least up until this point. I noticed a shift in the music as well, he started sounding less loving and empathetic, and more controlling, patronizing, and cold with women

Drake needs to rebrand as a feminist and drop some electronic positive women focused love songs and maybe some introspective sing songs

Take a little break from the rapping tough talk

Remind people of the side that made drake unique in the first place before he was taken over by Andrew Tate style influencers

That's too late, because it wouldn't be believable.

I think all the jokes about him being soft made him create a harder edge for his image. It resulted in some good music (IYRTITL) but I do think Drake got kind of lost in the sauce. He’s gonna have to find himself again in the next chapter of his career

Darkest angel kinda schizzo, sometimes he runs the "my name has nothing to do with drake not even that big a fan" gimmick and then others he goes full groupie

Future never presented himself as one of them "you go girl" types.

Drake literally has a song where he goes

"I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so proud of you"

"That's why you're bad as f*** and you know you are"

"'Cause you don't love them boys
    P**** run e'rything, f*** that noise"

He was leaning into that s*** HARD lmaooo

Yeah he was being extra with it lol.

That hook on proud of you tho

    "Umso umso umso umso umso-"

    Turn it aaawf

the way he got done by rihanna i think really did a number on him

even when they weren’t dating there are so many songs and eras of drake literally dedicated to the idea of wifing her, i think losing that really switched up his mindset

    100%

I been meaning to get this take off for a minute but idk how it would be perceived.

But I had a talk about Eminem with @WT777 that made me come to this conclusion.

IYRTITL is to Drake what The Eminem Show is to Marshall. A really great body of work that inadvertently f***ed up the rest of his career. All the criticisms both artists get in the current day can lowkey be traced back to those respective albums lol

Hot take: he's always been controlling.

I posted this before, but I noticed some lines from the take care era, Scorpion era, and now the newest Camila cabello solo feature. They're all similar in vibe.
