You a great poster as well my bro
Agreed @SegaDreamFlash
You can feel that way but I never saw anyone get into this “suffixes aren’t rhymes” bag until this battle
People outside of battle rap/hhh don‘t really care how many syllables a rhyme has tbh as long it‘s not trash. Punchlines, wordplay, level of disrespect & catchiness is what most people pay attention to
I think it's honestly because it's hard to remember the last time an artist did so many -ation rhymes in a row, especially such a big artist in a rap battle context, I can't think of any tracks recently that have done this to such an extent but I'm down to be corrected
its the kinda thing taylor swift does where she just spams like 5 words that all would be next to each other in rhyming dictionary super fast and it feels super forced

That’s valid but I can’t help but think of Kendrick got that off people wouldn’t nitpick it
Album was not thattttttttttt bad tbh
If you play it in reverse you'll hear the n words scattered all over

drake a slightly better rapper than he gets credit for, rhyming like that kinda difficult, it’s what makes mike one of my favorites rn

Well this was a rap battle so naturally battle rap enthusiasts would be offering their critique

They can do that there‘s no problem

Real, Mike is the greatest of all time as far as rhyme schemes, no one has even come close to what he’s done, it’s pretty much unprecedented and extremely difficult, especially to make it sound as natural as he does too
2016 Kendrick vs drake would’ve been so damn different.
I think Kendrick’s pen still would’ve been better coming fresh off TPAB but, alooot more of the industry would’ve been on drakes side.
Nah, kendrick was seen as the golden child and best rapper itw at that point. Drake was mad popular but he had the pop star label on him.
Kendrick was always number 1 to the rap purists.
MIKE, Earl, and Mick Jenkins
Now that's a serious blunt rotation
real af
fav example of the rhyme scheme thing
oh I‘m dumb asf
Disco! & Pinball

Imagine traveling back to the 80s and showing Kool Moe Dee and Rakim these lyrics, their heads would explode

Shame he’s unfit and can hardly carry his own flows when performing live whilst maintaining hype.
But Mike my top 5 all time for a reason. He’s so GOATED.
