Like Drake has almost double the amount of songs on Spotify, so of course the amount of streams he’s getting is going to be a lot more.
Another thing is that if you look at the amount of daily streams they’re getting, it’s a lot closer than the 100B vs. 30M total streams would have you think
For example Kendrick got 26M streams yesterday while Drake got 34M, which is still 8M more than Kendrick but certainly isn’t this ginormous gap that you would think.
Drake also has only ONE (1) song that’s getting over 1M streams daily meanwhile Kendrick has like 6 or 7.
It’s like, once you peel the layers back on those numbers it paints a much different picture than just the total streams would have you think.

Drake may have more songs but people are still streaming his tracks more. It’s not relevant that he’s got more songs tbh. People are pressing play

Well, you are free to interpret the numbers however you want/manipulate them to suit your narrative but I don't think some of these points make sense.
We all know that double the amount of songs do not equal to double the amount of streams. It's true if the other artist has a very small discog but not when it is someone who has close to 300 songs on DSPs.
And the 34m vs 26m daily streams point is actually one that shows how impressive Drake's numbers are. It shows that he has been running ever since streaming started and he is still running it in 2024 without having a big hit out and his competitor got 2 of the biggest songs of his career out rn.
