Basically everyone except Elect was in the studio and heard Mach’s verse and loved it. Including Beyonce. Mach said Jay Z was especially impressed to the point he took his hat off and threw it on some battle rap reaction s***.

comment “shit fire” or something like that.Next thing you know when the album drops Mach’s verse is not on there and folks speculating Jay Elect was salty Mach washed him.

Drake has a much bigger fanbase than Kendrick, since he makes way more mainstream appealing music - so those people would've never given it to Kendrick either unless he made it undeniable - those people far outnumber the people that would've never given it to Drake - the situation wasn't in Kendrick's favour in the beginning at all.

serenadei can't believe that hot uptown song cratered out of the spotify charts. that song was supposed to be the reset button where everyone says "alright the beef was fun, but in all seriousness we love drake and we're ready for him to run the summer". joe budden even told kendrick to f*** off because the beef is over and drake is coming through with the hits. this is not a good situation for him at all.
