I feel like people who listen to music more casually are definitely open to J Cole a lotta the time

Ngl watching those seasons of Degrassi when Drake was on there, there was so much questionable s*** on there

I noticed Cole getting more respect right around the time he got on the London feature, and doubly so when he toured with drizzy and Drake would stop the show to give a monologue about Cole’s importance to him as a friend and as an emcee

I feel like this killed the Cole sleep jokes and he started being treated as the elder statesman of rap that he portrayed himself as

But then he basically didn’t follow Drake into battle which, given how things turned out, would make anyone sideeye how they feel about a person

People dont realize how close Cole is with TDE in general lol

I don’t have any close friends that listen to Cole, but I also know people irl who listen to Cole so I’m not on somebody listens to him s*** but I think people who are more obsessive about their music taste dont listen to him
