My guy I’ve been a cudi fan since 08…you do not need to school me on the origins of him as an artist. The whole big three concept works with drake,Kendrick, and Cole because they all share some similarities and make rap music that can be heard on the radio. Cudi popped off because he was truly unique and sounded like no one else when he came out. The motm sound and cudis sound overall is not one that caters to being grouped in with a mainstream rap trio that’s supposed to be the face of the mainstream scene for the future. That in itself is the opposite of what cudis music is and what he was trying to accomplish with his music. This is the same artist who would turn down big collab after big collab because it didn’t fit his sound at the time. This is the same person who released a very dark sophomore album after breaking into the mainstream with a poppy but futuristic and unique debut album. Cudi was never trying to be the mainstream darling that any of the current “big 3” are trying to be.
