The entire song just listen to the sample loop as soon as the beat kicks in “ooo boy wonder ah boy wonder ah boy wonder ah boy wonder ah boy wonder ah” it’s legit the whole song almost but Kendrick lets it play in full one time right before he starts flowing about the off white sun seeker so you can hear it.

If story of Addison didn’t come first all of Kendrick’s disses would have been felt even more.

I dont think story of Addison is better than any of Kendrick’s disses, not even close. It just came first.

So that made some of Kendrick’s lines that he was responding to drake with have less impact. People clowned Kendrick for using the “signed to a dude that’s signed to a dude” line but he’s legit just responding to drake talking about Kendrick’s splits and even referring to pusha bringing it up before by saying “double back”. Kendrick actually flipped it nice w the acrobatics lines “show me your SPLITS I’ll make sure I DOUBLE BACK (flip) wit ya” but people clowned it because pusha said something about drakes label first, which to me is just these bars going over peoples heads.

The problem with Kendrick Lamar claiming he’s the goat is that his discography tells a different story, and it’ll just get worse with time from an artist perspective. Best at rapping is one thing and still debatable, but the best artist? How? It’s more of a cult of personality thing, I think. Drake and Kanye both have better discographies. Both are more versatile artists. The Game can out-rap Kendrick; if you think Rigamortis is good, Game has several songs where he’s rapping like that.

I don’t think Kendrick has much else to say, and he has a fraction of the versatility. Writing all your s*** is cool, but it doesn’t equate to better music, or more of it. Where does Kendrick go from here? He doesn’t have the same mass appeal.
