Buddy nothing you pointed out was hard to miss and is again, moments like I said, that are overshadowed with other lackluster efforts on the projects.

The 2 songs you pointed out have been discussed and highly regarded in discussions, the only problem is when you have those moments, again, mixed in with a slew of lackluster s***, it overpowers and detracts from the realness of s*** he’s spitting on other parts of the album.

It’s the same reason people get mad at downplaying Kendrick’s output, because you can hear the effort on each song, but discussion around his last project has been met with trolling, lack of thought, and disingenuous s***.

Meanwhile they’ll go in about Drake’s output on releases that have songs like Way 2 Sexy and Gently and generally play like a playlist because, like you just did, it has some dope bars and moments here and there (that don’t dig deeper into his psyche and generally stop on the surface)

Another song I never saw being discussed like that was “money in the grave”

“I was on top when this s*** meant a lot”

Stood out to me a lot cuz to me it seems he’s saying he really don’t care about this s*** like that anymore…mind you this was before the pusha T s***.

He’s implying the game ain’t the same. This was around the time you had niggas saying future the best rapper. Young thug is the best rapper etc. which is laughable but those were serious sentiments around this time.
