Take your time.

Organic relationships don’t put bread on the table

organic relationship will stick by u even when its not profitable

Drake will never get the opportunity again and it’s purely hypothetical, but genuinely just surprised at how careless he was with approaching Kendrick. Every jab being surface level at best doesn’t represent what I think he’s capable of. Listening to a song like 4PM in Calabasas where he was ripping Puff and Joe up with slick punches that resonate while also showcase his creativity is what I would’ve liked to see. Even if he was going more with the hitmaker approach and trying to drown him out, FM was way too long and too clunky in that context to be effective. Obviously getting smoked out 15 minutes later didn’t help. Idk just a lot of jarring decisions while Kendrick executed everything masterfully. I’m sure he probably wasn’t even expecting Drake to make it that easy on him by digging his own hole at every step
This is legit the only thing i’ll agree with from this post & previous. Stan war s*** aside you made great points. I’m not gonna sit here and act like it was a cakewalk for Drake cause he clearly made mistakes as you pointed out.
People don’t care to admit it but there just was and still is a bias out for Kendrick. Idc what any of his loser corny fans say but it is true. People just been itching for another moment like this against Drake and piled on. I still appreciate your 2 posts break down because it is valid and honest.
Just people tend to not acknowledge clearly a massive group of people had it out for him to begin with. So no matter what he said or did it was nothing but jokes.
Said he’s gonna learn the lyrics
It’s funny af he has to re learn the lyrics for his songs dude got too many hits
organic relationship will stick by u even when its not profitable
He got organic relationships through blood
Finally revisiting some of these records for the first time in a minute. Kendrick deserves kudos for starting off with an absolute iconic song in Like That. It already had Drake way behind the 8 ball. Push Ups was actually the best exchange Drake had, but it leaking really hurt the impact imo. If Drake had released it properly, it definitely would’ve went #1 and although it’s not about charts overall a lot of the narratives that were formed surrounding the beef were tied to it. Taylor Made no explanation necessary just aged like milk and shows Drake and team did not prepare for Kendrick’s slew of responses nor take him serious enough as an opponent (definitely a theme of Drake). Euphoria was a great track as well to reset the tempo and put Kendrick back in the drivers seat. Need to go through the rest of them a little later
Even as a Drake Stan, this hasn’t really been a serious era.
Like 8am in Charlotte felt like the most forced time stamp track.
The only silver lining to this ass whipping is that I know my goat is coming back with a classic to prove the haters wrong

I think humility could go a long way for him as an artist. He was pretty much unscathed for years (even through TSOA relatively) and I think this is the first time where he actually can’t blame anyone but himself for his mistakes. I hope he embraces the feeling of being up against the grain and comes back with something that challenges him as an artist rather than just taking rips from what’s hot at the moment. Really want him to get back to his roots on the next one

Hoping for an introspective album on par with NWTS.
It’s okay to be vulnerable, and this is an opportunity to grow with his audience.
He’s obviously spent the last 2-3 years trying to capture the new youth and build his rapport with the likes of Kai Cenat, Adin Ross and I show speed but I think there’s a good compromise in capitalizing on his base and giving us his old man album.
He doesn’t have to stop being the boy, or doing what he does, but I think the maturity in Kendrick’s bars is what set him apart (aside from being jsut better quality rhymes lol)
