I know that much has been said about how Taylor Made was a misstep in hindsight, but not much is said about that nearly two-week period of silence after push ups officially dropped. Maybe this is a hot take, but this silence was the deciding factor in the winner of this beef.

I'll compare this battle to Mixed Martial Arts or MMA, where you start off by "conditioning" your opponent in a fight. So you may start throwing light body jabs in order to condition your opponent to lower their guard and protect their body from your shots. Do that enough times, and your opponent might figure you out to be predictable, and just as they prepare for another body shot by lowering their guard, that's when you throw the haymaker to their temple or the chin to really rock your opponent.

The same thing happened here. I'm nearly convinced that the waiting, as frustrating/confusing as it may have been for Kendrick fans, was NOT for anybody else but Drake. The vacation to Turks was supposed to happen because Kendrick had "conditioned" Drake to think that there would be long stretches of time before a response, but while Drake was energized for the elimination of Kendrick, he didn't exactly strategize for how he'd react when he got rocked with a haymaker.

when he bragged about writing push ups in a couple hours on TM is when i knew what his strategy would be. he thought kendrick couldn’t write as fast as him. i think cole believed that too, which is why 7-min drill has the name it does
