I really believe it due to the fact that a lot of the early Geto Boyz, 8 Ball & MJG, and OutKast first album was pretty influenced by the sounds of West Coast.

Yeah south n west always had a connect since late 80s early 90s.

N i can def speak for bayarea a lot of our style n sounds are similar Zaytoven is literally from the Bay and used to produce for e40 years n years ago in the 200ps before he moved to Atlanta in like 08, n Lil Jon would go to the Bay alot. N Bayareas hyphy sound of the 2000s is basically our Turf sound mixed with Crunk then pop gors Hyphy, n again Lil Jon collab'd with a lot of Bay area artists n vice versa n produced beats n share/collab on sounds in the 2000s. Master P also got a lot of indie pointers from E40. Them two are the only rappers to go plat while being true independent- no label deal no distrupition deal no marketing deal nothing, just their own.

But Ice Cube was the first rapper period not of the south to show South love and then 2pac (sidenote fun fact: jay z was the first east coast rapper to show south love later on in like 98/99 to ugk and hotboys) - which them two both did a lot in the south with UGK, Scarface + Geto Boys, Goodie Mob, Master P, 8ball mjg, Lil Jon and a few others. 2pac was planning to work with Outkast as well for his One Nation album that was gonna come after 7Day Theory.

2pac, e40, ice cube, snoop n dre been f***in with the south and exchanging sounds with each other while still keeping their own identity and not stepping on each toes.

West Coast n South always been tight, especially in the 90s and 2000s, & us two never had issues with each other even to this day.

I wouldn't know, as I don't glaze or hate any of them (fan of drake and indifferent to kendrick)

But it's an interesting video because his diss tracks highlighted both strengths and weaknesses: he did try to experiment with his cadence and he pulled it off many times but there are also several moments where his inflections didn't fit. It did seem like guesswork rather than a big vision of knowing when to do what. Definitely an area where he can improve as an artist.
