a part of the entire thing that makes up that “focal point” is that Kendrick is trying to show that Kodak is a product of his environment
the entire album is about Kendrick’s life, what he went through, how it affected him and his family + others, and how to grow and learn from it
it has nothing to do with “defending a rapist” it has to do with pointing out the lack of media literacy you lot have and the obvious pearl clutching, you can feel free to disapprove of Kodak being on the album, and what happened to him during his upbringing doesn’t excuse what he did, i don’t even like the nigga nor his music
don’t start crying about “you’re supporting a rapist” when niggas are listening to the album though
Nigga please stop arguing with these dumb niggas. Please bro. 😆. They are dumb as f***!
you’re telling people to kill themselves over kodak black. You’re just a cowardly d***eater lol.
dude so deep into standom he don't even realize it
once again... I'm good off the fake intellectual postering for a few likes and quotes.
you’re the only one posturing here. if you had posted this on Twitter you would’ve gotten the validation you wanted
maybe try this song and dance over there, they tend to like niggas like you that try to police what people are listening to for morality points

I hope he finds peace.

could deadass pull someone off of pop Twitter that has an easier time grasping the themes of an album than niggas on a forum DEDICATED to hip-hop
like you can’t make this s*** up
“play holier than thou” says the dude trying to police what other people are listening to by crying about how there’s a rapist on the album
wait until he finds out what James Brown and Miles Davis used to do when they were around
This a weird as hill to die on. W-E-I-R-D
So there haven't been those conversations for Miles or James or s*** even Jimi -- just don't exist at all? Do you think this s*** just is in the abstract?

those conversations rarely crop up, the f*** is you talking about
most people don’t even know Jimi was abusive
stop virtue signaling man it doesn’t work on me, take it to Discord or some s***

again, you were the one that tried to trot out the whole “when are we gonna hold kendrick accountable for having kodak on an album” shtick, right after someone broke down to you why he was on the album
it’s clear you thought you had one and you didn’t, maybe next thread you can try it again

whether the conversations come up or not, the result is the same, they are all of the sudden not no longer legends or trailblazers because of what they did in their personal lives
if you want to discredit their art for the things they did, more power to you, you have no business trying to force that on anyone else to make yourself feel better

I didnt think I “had one”. I’m not the one working overtime like I’m on the Pg Lang payroll. I pointed out an odd inclusion. I read people’s explanations in addition to how I digest the album myself.
doesn't make the s*** less wrong
somebody send me that summers game reference track/og version of Drake singing it

Ehh they rarely pop up and cause an actual conversation tho
A wild one is David Bowie. I’m really shocked more conversations aren’t being had about him

clearly you did. are you gonna answer my Eric Clapton question or are you gonna ignore it?
am i a bad person for listening to songs where he’s on guitar? should i look to avoid anything he’s involved in because he’s racist? yes or no?

he knows that, he’s just grasping at straws because him and @whoop are f***ing pussies
there’s few things that can piss me off faster than niggas that virtue signal over art like this, i cannot stand that dumb s***

i be saying f*** eric clapton but i’m not mad at a few cream songs or a guitar solo etc but i like making fun of him for being f***ing stupid
that’s true music enlightenment

I’m not forcing anything? My point was that these conversations have existed and will exist beyond their careers/after death. yes their legacies are cemented Because of what They were able to accomplish with their art and brands. Especially because in those specific cases, their art is very intertwined with the black expression and in America. We can also admit that their legacies can remain untouched because of Patriarchal systems and the most disrespected Is the black woman.
This is all because I said Kodak was a rapist who probably shouldn’t have been on Mr. Morale. You making it seem like I’m reaching.
