Nah, it's very much worth a watch. People were mainly down on it because Amazon/Skybound spaced the second season out pretty badly (about a four month gap between S2 EP 4 and S2 EP 5), would not have gotten the backlash had the whole thing released weekly in one go

It's got a formula and the formula got old quick during season 2.
4-minute montage with a folk song so our characters can be groovily sad--->Graphically violent moment--->Reset moment with some dour dialogue---> Upbeat music to signal energetic or romantic montage--->sad s*** coupled with another 4 minute montage

I'm being reductionist tho, and the second season did have some genuinely creative moments and switch ups in format, but the s*** wasn't worth sitting through in one binge imo. Maybe that's the problem on my part.

Nah man. As much as I think his prime was from 2011-2015, he still had a couple of joints after Views that only Drake can do seamlessly. Bloated albums, sure you could argue that, but let's not sleep on his ability to craft moments in his music just because a beef didn't go his way.
