Common beef wasn’t really in the public eye. Nobody who wasn’t tapped in even really knew it was going on. I guarantee you like 75% of the people who heard not like us have never heard sweet
Meek was drakes first beef that was really up to the court of public opinion and meek fumbled badly plus that was back in 2015. Drake had only been running rap for 4 or 5 years. Way less fatigue at that point and didn’t have nearly as many haters as now.
Meek lost because drake dropped b2b and meek dropped a dud
Drake lost because kendrick dropped not like us and drake ended with a dud
No amount of dancing changing that
"I no black "
'Me dominican'
Haha that’s a good one
I haven’t seen or heard that before
lol
I’m joking about wanting to say that
But I think some Dominicans aren’t 'black' and some Dominicans are 'mixed'
And I think I don’t see a lot of Dominicans say that
lol

Person I responded to said the hip hop world. I don’t care what casuals who don’t follow hip hop think. Any one that follows hip hop slightly knows about Drake vs common.
Also he just lost to Pusha and Kendrick. No conspiracy involved. He just isn’t as good as those two.
If we base it on the music, Kendrick showed a diverse range of his rapping abilities.
He gave us an aggressive track with Euphoria, an enlightening track with 6:16 in LA, a story telling track with Meet the Grahams, a banger with Not Like Us, which is a hit.
He also took more shots at Drake and had more quotables.
So not only did Kendrick have the culture behind him, but even if you remove all that, he actually did beat Drake rapping wise too.
Drake did good but he still lost.
There's aint no shame in that because Kendrick is one of the greatest rappers of all time.
I disagree with a lot of this. Kendrick did show versatility I guess but I don’t think the songs were very good. 6:16 and MTG were both very forgettable. Euphoria and Not Like Us were solid but I still feel like nothing he put out in his actual diss tracks matches the tone and delivery from Like That. Like That is the best verse he put out in this whole thing.
As far as quotables go I think Drake beat him handily. Especially when it comes to flips and rebuttals. Drake had something to say about a lot of shots thrown at him and the way he was flipping disses was very good. Drake had that Prince/MJ angle in a chokehold in particular. Kendrick responded to the contract splits but didn’t really flip much else. He was more focused on getting his shots in which is cool if you fw that. I prefer a mix of offense and defense tho.
Felt like Drake had the best flows in this beef too.
Kendrick was supposed to stomp Drake with bars and his signature cadence and delivery but he was lacking in those aspects for whatever reason.

They did with Meek and Common. Seems like Kendrick and Pusha were just different animals.
Drake didn't have the culture behind like that when he was facing Common. He was the butt of every soft joke. Hip hop purists wanted to see him fail.
He just surprised everyone with Stay Scheming and slowly won them over.
He got heavy slander for the Meek situation by hip hop purists too but once again, he somehow overcame that with Back to Back.
But yes Kendrick and Pusha are different animals and they're willing to go there.
In both battles with Kendrick and Pusha, his cockiness and arrogance contributed to his demise.

I mean the casuals are the ones who determined Kendrick the victor in this.
Battle rappers and neutral fans of rap saying Drake won. Kendrick got furries, twitch streamers, and anime conventions making Tik toks to his songs.

Every club and sports arena disagrees with you that Drizzy had more quotables in this battle

"Battle rappers and neutral fans of rap saying Drake one" yea sure
