My favorite thing from the Ovo camp in recent memory

Up there with all time favorite Majid tracks
i don't think drake ever recorded for that song, it's a GKMC leftover and i'm guessing kendrick decided drake would sound better on poetic justice.
Damn I always thought it was recorded after GKMC took off and was a victory lap type of verse since he seems to have a lot of lyrics on there talking about him being king, having a clean slate, shooting up the charts, and paying back people after success

Yall think yall are doing Drake a favor with these Jay comps but Jay has shown himself to be a s*** person and snake throughout the years

I remember in the early 2000s Hov was villainized by nearly everybody for his boss moves esp during the fall of Rocafella
In hindsight he made the right choices

Would be interesting to see how his career would’ve played out if he stayed with Dame
drake lost so bad nobody talks about that buried alive remix he dropped
Really tho no one mentions it
Oh okay you have a good excuse then I got you, good luck. When you hear Family Matters you’ll see that Drake won
There were def some real drake fans in here today
This corny
This beef exposed Stan culture

There’s some similarities with how Nas/Jay went down I would say. I was super young but in retrospect, Jay being from Brooklyn and having Rocafella was huge in having a foundation to continue to be taken seriously. Like the pedigree is undeniable, all disdain some have for him aside.
I think Drake will ultimately be relatively ok after this L once the dust settles, but a big difference is OVO and Toronto isn’t much of a foundation outside of him. It’s not the same movement rocafella was. Also Kendrick’s career is a lot stronger than where Nas’ was at the time of the respective battles.

I will talk about it.
I like it a lot. But it’s an interlude not a song. I always listen to it before family matters
L.
No article coming.

Hip hop was also a lot smaller back then. As long as legal issues don’t arise from this then Drakes core fans should be enough to keep his career afloat. It also doesn’t hurt that people have short term memory these days. New s*** goes viral every week which makes it difficult for ppl to give a f*** about an issue for longer than that
has rocky even responded to drake dissing him lol
His children with Rihanna is response enough 💯

Hov was right fam
Drake should be ok after this as long as no legal issues arise
